About

Building STEM leaders and dreamers.

See a camp in action!

Our Mission

FLIPS (Fostering Leaders, Innovators, and Pioneers in STEM) believes in a future where all students have access to STEM immersion and leadership opportunities. We empower communities with STEM resources to foster STEM leaders and dreamers.

But we need your support. Join us!

How it Works

We teach high schoolers how to create STEM day/summer camps for 3rd-8th grade students in their community. We target Title 1 (low-income) schools. To get involved, schools can follow 3 easy steps:

1. Meet with FLIPS

2. Recruit 1-2 students

3. Sit back and relax!

In this meeting, you will learn more about FLIPS, our programming, and what it means to host a camp!

Share our advertisements to recruit 1-2 chapter founders at your high school.

FLIPS takes it from here! With the guidance of a teacher sponsor, we walk students through two years of evidence-based curriculum.

Our Story

Our founder, Jayden Graham, found a passion for STEM at a young age. When he was accepted to my school district’s new STEM high school, I was surprised to find that the student demographic was not representative of our school district at large; Title 1 students weren’t even applying!

Jayden didn’t hesitate to take action. With the guidance of his former Spanish teachers Mrs. Rachel Centeno (left) and Ms. Veronica Rodriguez (right), he taught students at his school how to create STEM lessons. Later on, they invited local 3rd-8th graders to their campus to experience these STEM activities, and consider applying!

In the process, he learned countless fundraising, advertising, and advocacy skills. The following year, Jayden founded FLIPS to teach high schoolers nationally how to establish similar STEM day/summer camps.
